All ports in USCG Sector Long Island Sound zone are open. The Sector Command Center will be tracking ice conditions within the Sector Long Island Sound zone.. Updates will be provided when available.

Synopsis for the Long Island Waters and New York Harbor... Low pres will pass over the region today. High pres will build over the Mid-Atlantic on Thu, and offshore on Fri. Low pres will again impact the area this weekend.

SE winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas around 2 ft. Snow, sleet, rain and freezing rain late this morning, then rain this afternoon. Vsby less than 1 nm, increasing to 1 to 3 nm this afternoon.

Tonight

W winds 15 to 20 kt, becoming NW after midnight. Gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft. Rain in the evening with vsby 1 to 3 nm.
