Synopsis for the Long Island Waters and New York Harbor... High pressure builds across the waters today and then passes east tonight into Wednesday. A trough of low pressure passes through Wednesday night into Thursday morning. A cold front approaches late Thursday, crossing the area on Friday. High pressure then builds in through Saturday night.


N winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt, becoming NE 5 to 10 kt late this morning, then becoming E early this afternoon, becoming SE late. Seas 1 to 2 ft, then 1 ft or less.


S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 1 ft or less.


SW winds 5 to 10 kt, increasing to 10 to 15 kt in the afternoon. Seas 1 ft or less.

Wed Night

SW winds around 10 kt. Seas 1 ft or less. Chance of rain in the evening, then rain likely after midnight.


SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 1 ft or less. Chance of rain in the morning.
