Synopsis for the Long Island Waters and New York Harbor... Low pressure passes through today with high pressure building in very slowly behind it through Wednesday as the storm heads into southeastern Canada. A weak low pressure system then affects the area Thursday into Friday.


E winds 25 to 30 kt, becoming SE 20 to 25 kt late. Gusts up to 40 kt. Seas 5 to 8 ft, subsiding to 3 to 5 ft this afternoon. Showers with isolated tstms. Vsby 1 to 3 nm.


S winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming SW after midnight. Gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft. Chance of showers in the evening.


W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas around 2 ft.
