Synopsis for the Long Island Waters and New York Harbor... A cold front approaches today and moves through tonight. High pressure builds in for Friday. A warm front approaches early this weekend, then sags to the south as a cold front. Waves of low pressure ride along this frontal boundary resulting in unsettled weather.

E winds around 5 kt, becoming S late this morning and early afternoon, then increasing to 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt late. Seas around 2 ft. Areas of dense fog this morning. slight chance of showers with isolated tstms late. Vsby less than 1 nm this morning, then 1 to 3 nm.
