Synopsis for the Long Island Waters and New York Harbor... High pressure slide offshore into the Atlantic Waters today and tonight as a warm front slowly approaches. The warm front moves across Wednesday, followed Wednesday night by a cold front. A couple of weaker fronts move through Thursday and Friday. High pressure then builds in for the weekend.


SW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming S 10 to 15 kt late. Seas 1 ft or less.


SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 1 ft or less.


S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 1 ft or less, then around 2 ft in the afternoon. Chance of showers.

Wed Night

SW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas around 2 ft in the evening, then 1 ft or less. Chance of showers in the evening.


W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft.
