High pressure over the western Atlantic will gradually shift east during the day today as a weak cold front begins to approach from the northwest. The cold front slowly moves across the waters Wednesday into Thursday. Weak high pressure settles over the region Friday ahead of the next cold front, which may stall nearby this weekend.
