...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING...

Synopsis for the Long Island Waters and New York Harbor... A warm front eventually moves north of the waters this afternoon, followed by a cold frontal this evening. High pressure will begin to build in from the south and west late tonight through Wednesday. Stronger high pressure follows Wednesday night into Thursday, then retreats to the northeast Thursday night. Another frontal system will impact the area Friday into Friday night, followed by high pressure building in for the weekend.

SE winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming S 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt early this afternoon, then increasing to 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt late. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Areas of fog late this morning. Chance of showers with possible drizzle and tstms late this morning, then showers with isolated tstms this afternoon. Vsby 1 to 3 nm.

W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Showers likely in the evening.
