Synopsis for the Long Island Waters and New York Harbor... A strong low tracks northeast into the Canadian Maritime Provinces through Thursday, as Canadian high pressure builds in from the west. The high will continue to build toward the region through Friday, and then builds to the north through Sunday, as an area of low pressure develops along the southeastern seaboard Saturday night, then tracks well to the south of Long Island on Sunday.

W winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft.
