Synopsis for the Long Island Waters and New York Harbor... Strong low pressure will slowly move northeast through the Canadian Maritimes through tonight, with a trailing secondary cold front pushing through waters tonight into Friday morning. High pressure will then build in through Saturday, then remain to the north through Sunday night as low pressure passes well to the south and then southeast of Long Island. High pressure will build in from the southwest on Monday.


NW winds 20 to 25 kt with occasional gusts up to 35 kt. seas 3 to 5 ft.


NW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft, subsiding to 2 to 3 ft after midnight.


NW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft.

Fri Night

NW winds 15 to 20 kt, diminishing to 10 to 15 kt after midnight. Seas 2 to 3 ft in the evening, then 1 to 2 ft.
