Synopsis for the Long Island Waters and New York Harbor... Low pressure departs across eastern Canada today, while high pressure over the Midwest begins its trek east. A cold front passes through the area this evening. High pressure will then gradually build into the area through Wednesday. A frontal system will pass through from late Thursday into Friday.

W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft.

Tonight

W winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming NW 15 to 20 kt after midnight. Seas 2 to 4 ft.

Tue

NW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas around 2 ft.

Tue Night

NW winds 10 to 15 kt, diminishing to 5 to 10 kt after midnight. Seas around 2 ft in the evening, then 1 ft or less.

Wed

NW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming SW in the afternoon. Seas 1 ft or less.

Wed Night

S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 1 ft or less.
